We fully support Sure Start and its principles. But Sure Start needs to work with greater focus on health visitors. We want to enhance Sure Start and provide even more support to families in East Kent.

We propose to refocus the money currently set aside for ‘outreach workers’ to provide an additional 4,200 properly trained health visitors to give parents much better support in the crucial early years of their child’s life.
