Schools

In schools we need to be very much more focused on creating a safe and stable environment where young people can learn in a positive atmosphere with good facilities and caring teachers. That means discipline and structure that supports young people in their learning. I am a passionate supporter of our local schools and believe that they achieve a huge amount in terms of adding value to their students. However, I also believe that schools need to cater to the individual needs of children so that no child is ignored or allowed to drift through the system. Discipline and competitive sports should be part of a new ethos across all schools; if you never enter the race, you will never be the winner.
